VTCT NVQ Diploma in Hairdressing Level 2 12.09.24

The VTCT Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Hairdressing is aimed at people who wish to pursue a career as an employed and/or self-employed hairdresser/stylist.

This qualification is based on the national occupational standards for hairdressing and includes all the required elements to work effectively as a hairdresser/stylist.

Throughout this qualification, you will work in a realistic working environment and develop knowledge and understanding of relevant anatomy and physiology and health and safety. You will also develop the knowledge, understanding and skills working on clients to advise and consult and then provide a complete hairdressing service which includes, shampooing and conditioning, colouring, cutting and setting and dressing, and styling and finishing hair. In parallel, you will develop communication and customer service skills all of which are valued highly by employers.

As part of the course a kit will be provided to you at the start of your learning journey, this will enable you to develop your skills and techniques throughout the course.

Whilst the primary purpose of this qualification is to prepare you for employment, you may choose to develop your knowledge and skills further by completing a Level 3 qualification in hairdressing.

This qualification runs over 30 weeks 1 day per week.

Skills developed will include:

  • Shampoo, condition and treat the hair and scalp
  • Cut hair using a range of techniques
  • Style and finish hair using a range of techniques
  • Colour and lighten hair using a range of techniques.

We require 72 hours notice for cancellation for full refund, if within 72 hours of the course we can move you to another date however if within 24 hours or no show full payment is held as cost recovery.
