8 Day Make-Up Course with The Face Boss.

This course is an ABT Certificate in Make-up which is an internationally recognised qualification and gives you all the skills and knowledge to work in the industry. Delivered by industry expert Megan Goodchild and training academy Mac-Ed Training. http://www.thefaceboss.co.uk

The course is a mix of practical and theory and will cover health and safety, anatomy and physiology, skin diagnosis, contra-indications to treatment and of course the full looks as described by The Face Boss during her video release!!

Timetable

Start date and induction 05.02.24 9.30-3pm – this includes an overview and induction to the course, you will have your full timetable for the 8 days of the course delivery with information of where and when you will be studying each week. The first 4 weeks you will attend Mac-Ed Training to learn skin prep, skin diseases, contra indications, infection control and client care and consultation. The following week you will attend The Face Boss Studio for 4 consecutive days, Monday – Thursday to carry out your make up training.

During this first session we will commence our theory in anatomy and physiology and start to look at the skin and the biology around it. Why is this important in Make-up? What are the main skin types you’ll work with and how we can treat each one to continue to perfect the finished look for make-up application.

You will also have access to ISOCLEAN training programme where you will complete online training to learn all about the health and hygiene practices required in the make-up and beauty industry. You will complete a short online test with ISOCLEAN and receive and accredited qualification in Make-Up hygiene and safe working practices!!

During the 8 day course you will have a combination of theory and practical sessions, delivered at either the Mac-Ed Training Academy or The Face Boss studio. You will have a final theory and practical assessment on week 10 which will pull together everything you have learnt during the course and finalise your skills. After this you will receive your certificate from ABT. You will also at this stage receive a discount for both insurance and ISOCLEAN products.

You will be working on each other and models throughout the course and will be directed by Megan each week as to what is required for the following week.

Kit

The make-up kit is amazing, cruelty free and mainly vegan, and included in price of course. The kit is worth approx. £300 and has a huge range of make-up products, brushes, and cleaners.

Payment Schedule

Deposit is £100 non-refundable, with the balance to be paid on enrolment. We do have payment options available through KLARNA if this is something you’d like to take advantage of.

Who supports this qualification?
This course is accredited by ABT, The Association of Beauty Therapists, this means that you can apply for insurance and be confident in the knowledge that you are taught to a professional, industry standard.

Cancellation and refund policy

A deposit is required of £100 to secure any course place and the balance of payment is due 72 hours prior to the course date. Your place will not be held if deposit or full payment has not been made.

We require 72 hours notice for cancellation for full refund, if within 72 hours of the course we can move you to another date however if within 24 hours or no show full payment is held as cost recovery.
