The VTCT Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Barbering is aimed at learners who wish to pursue a career as an employed and/or self-employed barber. In this fast paced, exciting industry you can be sure we will support and direct you to be the best you can possibly be in this field. Our staff have many years of experience behind them and some still work in this field now, meaning you are getting the very best, up to date skills and methods possible. We pride ourselves on individual attention and keep our classes small so you get as much support and help as you need whilst with us.
Units that will be covered during your learning path will include how to cut men’s hair and cutting the facial hair. You will also learn consultation and communication skills as well as reception etiquette.
Health and safety is huge in our industry and we will ensure that this is covered in full to help you understand how to work safely and effectively.
As part of the course you will receive a small kit to enable practise and allowing you to develop skills further with self-study.
Whilst the primary purpose of this qualification is to prepare you for employment, you may choose to develop your knowledge and skills further by completing an advanced apprenticeship or Level 3 qualification in Barbering.
The qualification not only provides you with extensive career opportunities, it is also internationally recognised and demonstrates your ability to work to an industry-standard level of practice.
The VTCT Level 2 Diploma in Barbering allows you to gather evidence in a realistic working environment working on lots of different types of models throughout the course. This predominantly practical course allows for plenty of time to learn and use your skills you develop throughout. This will ensure you are confident and able to work in industry as a qualified level 2 Barber on completion.
This course runs over 30 weeks, 1 day a week.
